High-Risk Pregnancy

A high-risk pregnancy is one in which a woman and her fetus face a higher-than-normal chance of experiencing problems.
These risks may be due to factors in the pregnancy itself, or they may stem from preexisting maternal medical conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, or lupus. Events that occur during a pregnancy may also lead to high-risk status.

Painless Delivery

Painless delivery can be achieved using a form of regional anaesthesia that provides pain relief during natural labour. Epidural anaesthesia is administered through an injection on the lower back of the mother. The drug takes about 10-15 minutes to take effect. This is a good option for women with a lower pain bearing capacity, who would otherwise opt for a C-section.

Fertility Treatments

There are lots of ways to help people with all kinds of fertility issues. The options that are best for you depend on your personal situation and what’s causing your infertility.
Sometimes only one person needs treatment, other times both partners will use a combination of treatments together. Fertility treatments often include medications that help with hormones and ovulation, sometimes combined with minor surgical procedures.

Hormonal Disorders

Overproduction of thyroid hormones, known as hyperthyroidism, can cause complications in pregnancy including miscarriage, preterm birth and preeclampsia. The opposite occurs in hypothyroidism, when the body does not produce enough thyroid hormones. Hypothyroidism can also cause problems including preeclampsia, miscarriage, preterm birth and low birth weight. Hashimoto’s disease in pregnancy, in particular, presents potential issues with hypothyroidism. Both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism can be harmful to the health of developing babies.

Scarless Surgery

Scarless Surgery or Single Port Laparoscopic Surgery is the most revolutionary technique through which you could have your surgery done with near to no scar at all. This technique is cosmetically preferable, particularly to younger female patients.
It is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the surgeon operates almost exclusively through a single entry point, the umbilicus or belly button.

Safe Birth Control

Even though birth control pills are very safe, using the combination pill can slightly increase your risk of health problems. Complications are rare, but they can be serious. These include heart attack, stroke, blood clots, and liver tumors. In very rare cases, they can lead to death. For the most part, progestin-only pills (aka POPs or mini pills) don’t have these risks.

When talking with your doctor about birth control, tell them about any medications you’re taking and any health problems you’ve had.

Menopause Care

Menopause happens when a woman has gone twelve consecutive months without a menstrual period. The average age for a woman to hit menopause is 51, but it may occur earlier or later than this age. Menopause comes in two stages: perimenopause and postmenopause.
Menopause care means taking care of your mind, body, and spirit throughout the transition time. Adopting a healthier diet and lifestyle can reduce symptoms and change your life for the better.

Cancer - Screening

Screening tests can help find cancer at an early stage, before symptoms appear. When abnormal tissue or cancer is found early, it may be easier to treat or cure. By the time symptoms appear, the cancer may have grown and spread. This can make the cancer harder to treat or cure.

It is important to remember that when your doctor suggests a screening test, it does not always mean he or she thinks you have cancer. Screening tests are done when you have no cancer symptoms.

Surrogacy is an arrangement in which a woman (the surrogate) agrees to carry and give birth to a child on behalf of another person or couple (the intended parent/s).

Laparoscopy is a type of keyhole surgery used to diagnose and treat conditions. It allows a surgeon to use only small cuts and a camera for procedures inside the tummy or pelvis.

Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is an early form of prenatal genetic diagnosis where abnormal embryos are identified, thereby allowing transfer of genetically normal embryos.

The ERA test, or Endometrial Receptivity Array, is a diagnostic tool designed to pinpoint the perfect timing for embryo transfer.

In vitro fertilization (IVF) with donor gametes involves using eggs or sperms from a carefully selected donor and fertilizing them with the other partner's sperm/egg in a laboratory setting.

Preconception counseling is defined as health education and promotion, allowing for risk assessment, intervention, and medical optimization before pregnancy to reduce the chances of poor obstetric, maternal, and fetal outcomes.

A blastocyst is a cluster of dividing cells made by a fertilized egg. It's the early stage of an embryo. The blastocyst stage of a fertilized egg is especially important for in vitro fertilization (IVF), as it has higher success rate.

Hysteroscopy is the exam of the inside of the cervix and uterus using a thin, lighted, flexible tube called a hysteroscope. Your healthcare provider inserts the device through the vagina.

A procedure in which eggs are removed from a woman's ovary and combined with sperm outside the body to form embryos. The embryos are grown in the laboratory for several days and then either placed in a woman's uterus or cryopreserved (frozen) for future use.

It's also sometimes called alternative insemination, or artificial insemination. IUI works by putting sperm cells directly into your uterus around the time you're ovulating, helping the sperm get closer to your egg.

Ovulation is when a mature egg is released from the ovary. Ovulation induction uses fertility medications to stimulate the release of one or more eggs from the ovary. This is usually monitored by ultrasound scans

Follicular study or follicular monitoring is the process through which the doctor watches the growth of this follicle from the beginning of the menstrual cycle to the time it is ready to release an egg.

Ultrasound scanning is a noninvasive imaging test that shows structures inside your body using high-intensity sound waves. Its is a safe, reliable, cost-effective, and easily available imaging modality to assess the anatomy and morphology of the female reproductive organs.

A fertility checkup is a series of fertility tests for men and women designed to provide an initial overview of your reproductive potential.
